COMPANY PROFILE
Trijicon A story of brilliance.
Specialising in rugged, self-luminous and LED sighting devices for the military, law enforcement, hunters and shooters, Trijicon has been a pioneer in the optics world for many years.
founded in 1981 by Glyn Bindon as Armson USA, the company started out as the sole US distributor of the Armson OEG, an occluded-type gun sight that used tritium and fibre optics in its construction and was manufactured in South Africa. Glyn was a real trailblazer, pioneering the tritium and fibre optics technology, which is still foundational for much of the company’s success today.
In 1985 he reorganised the company as Trijicon and started to manufacture night sights for pistols. Two years later the firm introduced a tritium-filled scope for the US military called the Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight, better known as ACOG."e ACOG not only put Trijicon on the map, it still remains one of the company’s cornerstones.
